The US president said a fate "worse than Maduro's" could await her.
U.S. President Donald Trump said that if Venezuela's vice president "doesn't do what's right," she will meet a worse fate than that of Nicolas Maduro, who was flown out of Venezuela to be tried in the United States.
"If she doesn't do what's right, she's going to pay a very big price, probably a bigger price than Maduro," Trump said in a Jan. 4 interview with The Atlantic.
The publication calls the U.S. president's words "a not-so veiled threat."
Trump has made clear that he will not tolerate what he called Rodriguez's defiant rejection of the U.S. intervention that led to Maduro's capture, the article noted.
