The Russians sent him to war instead of deporting him.
On the Kupyansk direction fighters of the 127th separate heavy mechanized Kharkiv brigade captured a citizen of Cuba Joandy Depalaza, known under the call sign "Nobody". This was reported by the Charter Corps in its Telegram channel.
The captive said he had been in Moscow for about eight months, despite the fact that his Russian visa was only valid for three months. Depalaza said it was extremely difficult to live as an illegal migrant in the Russian capital because of constant police checks.
He claims that law enforcers regularly stopped migrants and offered them the choice of paying money, being deported or going to war. At the same time, according to the Cuban, he did not sign a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and expected to be deported to his home country.
But instead, six days later, he was sent to the front, according to Depalaza. Since his arrival in the war zone, he has seen neither his documents nor the promised payments.
According to him, he found himself in the Kupyansk area in August 2025.
