U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham appeared on Fox News Channel wearing a cap that read "Make Iran Great Again."

"I pray and hope that 2026 will be the year we make Iran great again," the senator said.

Before that, US President Donald Trump said the US could launch an armed strike on Iran if there are casualties among the population during the protests.

In late December, protests began in Iran amid the devaluation of the local currency. The protests have engulfed more than 60 cities in 25 provinces of the country. The largest actions are taking place in Tehran, and the most violent clashes were recorded in the west and southwest (the cities of Malekshahi, Kermanshah, Lordegan).
