Belarusians need to be ready.

Alexander Lukashenko can lose power in Belarus very suddenly, including the same thing that could happen to him as to Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, who was forcibly taken from the country by the USA and put in prison. The main thing for Belarusians is to be ready to accept freedom and independence. This opinion was shared in a conversation with "Belsat" politician, former political prisoner Pavel Seviarynets.

Pavel Seviarynets notes that many Belarusians often complain that nothing changes in the country, but even recent events show that changes can come quickly and unexpectedly. For example, in Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro led the country since 2013 and held on to office seemingly very firmly. However, on January 3, as a result of the US attack, Maduro, along with his wife, was captured and taken to the United States.

"Everything can change very, very quickly, and we, Belarusians, the people of patience, need to understand that in due time, if we hold on, if we stand in the truth, if we work, we will see more things," says Pavel Seviarynets.

When asked whether something like Maduro could happen to Alexander Lukashenko, the interlocutor says that everything is possible.

"I sometimes wonder why God allows Lukashenko to stay in his place. Maybe at some time we were not ready as a nation to accept freedom and independence. These are things that are very important. It is worth being ready. Because we know from the Bible: the people of Israel were not ready to enter the Promised Land and wandered in the desert for forty years. It can be the same for us, but I believe that when the time comes and we are ready, our hearts will be ready, the Lord God will change everything in a matter of minutes," continues Pavel Seviarynets.

Therefore, he admits that Lukashenko may leave like Maduro, or naturally, or even because of some unthinkable events.

"One should not be surprised by it. God is the creator of history. We humans, as much as possible, can either help him or get in his way. But in the end he decides, and he always decides spectacularly and brilliantly," summarizes Pavel Severinets.
