US Says Peace Deal On Ukraine Is 'on The Doorstep'

The U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO announced the finalization of several agreements.

An agreement to end Russia's war against Ukraine may be "on the doorstep," U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker told Fox News.

"What we should expect is the finalization of several agreements. The first is a 'coalition of the willing,' which includes about 50 allied countries, many of them NATO members, who are going to agree to a certain security framework for Ukraine," the diplomat said.

Whitaker also commented on the U.S. takeover of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. He called the operation part of a containment strategy and considered that what happened sends a signal to all U.S. adversaries who should be concerned. "It demonstrates: when the US president talks about drawing a red line, we are ready to enforce it with our power," he summarized.
