In Poland, Zelensky Became One Of The Three Most Popular Foreign Politicians

Poles awarded the title of politician of the year-2025 to the President of the United States.

President Vladimir Zelensky is among the three foreign politicians most often named by Poles as the politician of the year.

This is according to the results of a CBOS poll, reports Onet.

As sociologists noted, choosing a politician of the year among representatives of the international political scene tends to cause Poles more difficulties than identifying an outstanding representative of national politics.

"In December 2025, just over two-fifths of respondents (41%) had problems with this, while another more than a quarter (27%) believed that none of the foreign politicians they knew had played such a significant role in international politics in the last twelve months to deserve this title," the survey said. 1% of respondents refused to answer.

The title of the politician of the year-2025 in the world was awarded by Poles to US President Donald Trump - 11% of respondents believe so. In the second place of the rating was the president of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who was mentioned by 5% of respondents. The podium is closed by French President Emmanuel Macron with 3% of votes.

Other politicians were indicated by only a few respondents. About 1% of respondents indicated: EC chief Ursula von der Leyen; Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban; former U.S. President Joe Biden; New York Mayor Zoran Mamdani; Pope Lion XIV; U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance; and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. 4% of respondents mentioned other names.
