But there's a condition.
Sweden is ready to hand over Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine and provide resources for demining the Black Sea after signing a peace agreement with Russia.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson posted this in a X social media post.
According to Kristersson, during the meeting in Paris, members of the "coalition of the willing," Ukraine and the United States made significant progress in discussing ways to achieve peace.
"When a peace agreement is reached in Ukraine, Sweden is ready to contribute to security guarantees for Ukraine and the rest of Europe," the head of the Swedish government emphasized.
The prime minister also outlined specific areas of possible assistance. In particular, it is about the transfer of Gripen fighter jets for air surveillance over Ukraine, provision of marine resources for demining the Black Sea, as well as continued training of Ukrainian officers.
At the same time, Kristersson emphasized that the implementation of these steps is possible only if a number of conditions are met. Among them are the conclusion of a peace agreement, the definition of clear rules for the use of multinational forces and the approval of relevant decisions by the Swedish parliament.
"Sweden is ready to contribute to peace in Europe," he concluded.
