Trump: US Will Receive Up To 50 Million Barrels Of Oil From Venezuela

Oil would be sold at market price and the money would be controlled by the President of the United States.

Venezuela's interim authorities will hand over 30 to 50 million barrels of sub-sanctioned, high-quality oil to the United States.

U.S. President Donald Trump wrote this on his Truth Social.

"I am pleased to announce that Venezuela's interim authorities will transfer 30 to 50 MILLION barrels of high quality sanctioned oil to the United States. This oil will be sold at market price and this money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States, to ensure it is used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States!" - Trump wrote.

He also said he had asked U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright to "execute this plan immediately."

The U.S. president noted that the oil would be delivered by storage ships directly to unloading docks in the United States.
