"It's A Personal Gaffe For Putin."

"It's A Personal Gaffe For Putin."

Kupyansk gained geopolitical importance.

Commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems "Achilles" Yury Fedorenko in an interview with Radio NV stated that Kupyansk has acquired geopolitical significance.

"Kupyansk has acquired geopolitical significance. Dictator [Vladimir] Putin has been telling for a long time that the city is already occupied, and there completely their troops have established and appropriate legal regime, and defensive regime, and everything related to that. And, as it turned out, these were just words. The defense forces were able to squeeze the enemy, to dislodge them. Accordingly, this is a personal gaffe for dictator Putin, which he is trying to correct at all costs," Fedorenko told Radio NV.

He noted that the Russians are changing ground unit commanders to do this, and the new Russian commanders are immediately strengthening the strike and assault operations.

"He (the new commander of the Russian unit - ed.) quickly finds additional personnel that can be wiped out in battles, from among the support units, or those that are not characterized to carry out shock-attack actions, they put them in line, send them forward. Accordingly, this is one of the important tasks for the Russian occupation generals. Therefore, it is quite obvious that in the foreseeable future the enemy will try to restore its condition and position. But will he succeed? According to my beliefs, in the current realities - no," said regiment commander Achilles.

The situation in Kupyansk

Russian occupiers have recently claimed several times that they have seized Kupyansk, Ukraine denied it.

On November 20, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin visited one of the command centers of the West grouping, then Russian General Kuzovlev reported to him about the "complete capture" of Kupyansk. On December 9, the general was awarded the title of hero of Russia for this.

On December 12, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky visited the Kupyansk area.

On December 19, Zelensky said that the Russian general who reported to Putin on the "full capture" of Kupyansk disappeared after Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack in the town.
