The U.S. attack that toppled Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro killed 100 people.
The number was named by Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, according to Reuters.
The publication noted that Caracas had not previously given an exact death toll, but the army published a list of 23 names of its dead. Venezuelan officials said most of Maduro's guards were killed "in cold blood" and Cuba said its military and intelligence personnel in Venezuela were killed.
In addition, Maduro's wife, Silia Flores, who was detained with him, suffered a head injury and Maduro suffered a leg injury during the U.S. special operation, Cabello said.
U.S. Special Operation in Venezuela
In the early morning hours of Jan. 3, Washington conducted a special operation in Caracas to capture Maduro and his wife. Explosions rang out in the Venezuelan capital, and military vehicles drove through the streets.
The U.S. lightning-quickly removed Maduro to its territory. The US accuses him of narco-terrorism. On Monday, he already appeared in a US court.
