The UK is strengthening Ukraine's air defenses by supplying advanced short- and long-range systems to defend against Russian air threats.
According to UK Defense Journal.
As the active phase of the war continues, Ukraine is receiving new British air defense systems designed to protect troops and critical infrastructure from air attacks.
These deliveries include both the already deployed Raven and prototypes of the long-range Gravehawk systems.
According to a written answer from the British Parliament dated January 6, 2026, 13 Raven air defense systems have been delivered to Ukraine.
Veterans Affairs Minister El Carnes said, "13 RAVEN air defense systems have already been delivered to Ukraine, enabling Ukrainian units to defend themselves quickly against Russian air threats."
Raven is designed to combat drones, planes and helicopters close to the front line and adapts the Royal Air Force's AIM-132 ASRAAM missile for ground use.
The system provides a rapidly deployable capability, allowing Ukrainian forces to respond to threats quickly, with limited cruise missile capability.
Gravehawk: critical infrastructure protection
The Ministry of Defense also confirmed progress with the Gravehawk system.
"Two prototypes of the GRAVEHAWK air defense systems have now been delivered to Ukraine," Carnes said.
He said that of the remaining 15 systems under contract, the first batch will be delivered soon.
Gravehawk is designed to protect Ukraine's strategically important facilities from long-range Russian Federation strikes and will be a key element in strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
