A UTair airplane flying from Dubai to Moscow has given a distress signal and has been circling over the territory for an hour to generate fuel. Its flight is being watched by thousands of users of Flightradar service, reported the Russian media.

Boeing 767-224 (flight UT 716) took off from Al Maktoum airport and was supposed to land in Vnukovo at 21:15 Minsk time. However, some time after takeoff, the crew transmitted the emergency code "7700". According to preliminary data, the airliner needs to generate fuel for a safe landing, for which it performs circulation in the airspace.

January 5, the plane, which was on a flight from Egypt, made an emergency landing at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport. The airport's operational services met the aircraft and provided escort in accordance with standard protocols for such situations.

In late December, an airplane traveling from Cheboksary to Moscow gave a distress signal and made an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo Airport.
