Expert: Russia Simulated A Nuclear Strike On Lviv

Russia hit Lviv region with a medium-range ballistic missile. In fact, the enemy simulated the launch of a nuclear weapon.

An aviation expert Anatoliy Hrapchinsky told "24 Kanal", noting that there is a defense against missiles of this type. But there are nuances.

How to defend against such missiles?

According to Khrapchinsky, the American THAAD system or the Israeli Arrow can destroy this missile. But the problem is that Europe doesn't have a coherent missile defense system. Germany has acquired one system, Poland has two more and Romania has one.

The missile must actually be intercepted while still in space. It is important to do this at the moment before the warhead is separated into submunitions.

The strike on Lvivshchina should be perceived as Putin's signal to the Europeans. He actually convinces that today it is Lviv, and tomorrow it could be the same Warsaw.

"It is simply senseless on Russia's part to use such weapons. It does not carry any benefit. It is purely a psychological effect. Imitation of launching a nuclear weapon," Hrapczynski noted.
