A Serious Personnel Crisis Has Begun At MAZ

Nearly 400 workers are missing.

The BELPOL has obtained an official document testifying to a serious staff shortage at MAZ OJSC, the managing company of BELAVTOMAZ holding.

According to the content of the document, the situation is close to critical: the enterprise lacks 397 employees to fulfill the production plan of the first quarter of 2026.

According to the document, the general director of the plant Valery Ivankovich appeals to the Minister of Industry with a request to urgently provide the plant with labor force. We are talking about a large-scale closing of vacancies.

More than half of all missing specialists are mechanic-assembly fitters, a key category for assembly production. Without them it is impossible to fulfill the plan.

"In fact, the requested 400 people is the minimum threshold necessary to maintain the operation of the enterprise. At the same time, judging by the wording of the document, the issue of personnel qualification is being put on the back burner: now the task is to find people at any cost in order to prevent disruption of production and downtime due to lack of workers," the organization notes.
