Ukraine Received The Unique Lanza Radar, Which Was Denied By The U.S.

Eyes for Patriot and NASAMS.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have received a modern tactical early detection radar Lanza LTR-25 manufactured by the Spanish company Indra.

The Spanish publication Xataka reports that the transfer of this system was an important step of the allies, as it allows to significantly strengthen the capabilities of deep airspace monitoring and early detection of threats.

It is noted that the United States refused to provide Ukraine with this technology for a long time, but it is worth noting that Indra has already cooperated with Ukraine to supply systems for civil aviation. The cost of this radar complex is estimated at 37 million euros.

It should be noted that previously Indra has already cooperated with Ukraine, supplying systems for civil aviation. Now we are talking about military equipment.

The Lanza LTR-25 radar is capable of detecting aerial targets at long distances, which gives Ukrainian forces more time to respond to missile attacks and drone strikes. The system can be integrated into a single network with Patriot, NASAMS and IRIS-T systems, increasing the effectiveness of the entire air defense.

Thanks to its L-band operation, the radar can detect even difficult targets with low radar visibility, including drones such as Shahed or cruise missiles flying at low altitudes.

Lanza LTR-25 is a mobile 3D phased-array radar station designed to operate in active electronic warfare environments.

The system can be quickly moved by truck or C-130 aircraft, allowing for rapid position changes and reducing the risk of enemy engagement.
