Ukrainians Respond To Putin's Energy Blackmail

The Ukrainian people are against concessions and favor strikes against Russia.

The majority of Ukrainians (52%) categorically reject the proposal to transfer all of Donbass under the control of the Russian Federation in exchange for security guarantees, while 9% would easily agree to this condition, and 31% are ready to accept it as a difficult compromise.

This is evidenced by the results of the KMIS poll, which are cited by the New Voice.

It is noted that, compared to mid-January, despite the strikes on the energy sector by the Russian occupants, there have been no significant changes in the situation in the Donbass. Another 18% expect it to be completed in the second half of this year, while the remaining 43% expect it to be completed in the next 2027 or even later. At the same time, 65% say that they are ready to tolerate the war as long as it takes (in December and September 2025 there were 62% of such people).

The same poll states that in Ukraine the share of those who are in favor of strikes on non-military objects of the Russian Federation has increased. At the same time, the absolute majority supports strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
