It will come within 72 hours of Russian Federation violating the ceasefire.
Ukraine, together with Europe and the United States, has agreed on a multilevel mechanism for responding to possible violations of the future ceasefire regime by Russia. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper, citing sources with knowledge of the talks.
According to the newspaper, Kiev has agreed with its Western partners that any systematic violations of the ceasefire by Russia will trigger a coordinated response from Europe and the United States, including military measures.
The plan was repeatedly discussed in December and January at meetings between Ukrainian, European and US officials.
According to the proposed scheme, in the event of a ceasefire violation, a response will follow within 24 hours. It would begin with a diplomatic warning and, if necessary, action by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to stop the violation.
If the fighting is not stopped, the process will move to the second phase, involving the forces of the so-called "coalition of the willing." It includes many European Union countries, as well as Britain, Norway, Iceland and Turkey.
The piece also notes that in the event of an expanded attack 72 hours after the initial violation, a coordinated operation by Western-backed forces, including U.S. military forces, could be launched.
