U.S. President Donald Trump has signed into law a bill to fund the country's government, ending a three-day partial shutdown.

This is reported by CNN.

Earlier in the day, the House of Representatives passed the bill, which was a victory for both Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson, the publication notes. In particular, Johnson had to convince Republicans to support a package that temporarily funds the Department of Homeland Security and leaves out some of conservatives' priorities.

Congress, however, was unable to agree on a budget for one key agency, the Department of Homeland Security.

"The real fight will begin with the Department of Homeland Security bill," Johnson told reporters, alluding to difficult political negotiations with Democrats over changes to federal immigration enforcement
