Czech Prime Minister Stunned With Statement About 'disrupting Peace With Russia' In 2022
Andrej Babiš

Loud "accusations" were made.

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has said that the chance for peace between Russia and Ukraine in 2022 has been lost due to external interference.

Andrej Babiš made this statement on air on TN.cz.

The prime minister said that in April 2022 Kiev and Moscow were as close as possible to concluding a peace agreement, but this process, according to Babiš, was thwarted after "the intervention of Ukraine's Western partners."

Andrei Babiš directly blamed the then head of the British government Boris Johnson for the fact that the negotiations were not brought to a conclusion.

According to Babiš, after Boris Johnson's visit to Ukraine, the negotiation process was derailed and the chance for a quick end to the war was lost.

The Czech prime minister also noted that diplomatic efforts to end the war have now intensified again. At the same time, the politician is convinced that Europe is not capable of stopping the war on its own. He calls Donald Trump the key player in achieving peace.

"The negotiations are intense. It seems as if they are getting closer to some kind of long-term solution - ending the war and creating stable security guarantees for Ukraine. But Europe cannot do this without Donald Trump," Babiš said.

What the Czech Republic

Separately, the Czech head of government called on European countries to resume direct dialog with Russia, considering it a prerequisite for achieving a ceasefire. He said talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could be led by leaders of key European states.

The Czech prime minister formed a list of leaders who could sit at the negotiating table with the Kremlin:

Friedrich Merz (German chancellor);

Emmanuel Macron (French president);

Keir Starmer (British prime minister);

Giorgia Meloni (Italian prime minister).
