Syrsky Revealed New Results Of The AFU Counteroffensive In The South

Since the beginning of the counter-offensive operation in the south of Ukraine has restored control over about 470 square kilometers of territory and neutralized more than 11 thousand Russian occupants.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrsky.

In the course of his working trip to the Southern operational zone, he held a meeting with the command of the offensive group, as well as commanders of assault and airborne assault units.

The commander-in-chief heard reports on the fulfillment of combat tasks, discussed options for further actions and coordinated the interaction of units in the areas of responsibility.

"Since the beginning of the operation, we have regained control over about 470 sq. km, Having neutralized more than 11 thousand invaders," he said.

Syrsky also thanked Ukrainian servicemen for bravery and effectiveness in the fight against the occupants, emphasizing that the liberation of the Ukrainian land continues.

The AFU offensive in the south

February 22, the AFU Airborne Assault Troops officially announced the start of the operation in the Alexandrovsky direction.

The goal is to disrupt the enemy's plans to advance in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya regions, defeat the grouping of Russian troops and push it beyond the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Subsequently, the Chief of the General Staff in comments to RBC-Ukraine reported on the results of the offensive.

According to him, Ukrainian forces have already managed to liberate almost the entire territory of Dnipropetrovsk region.

As of March 25, during the counteroffensive in the Alexandrovsky direction, Ukrainian troops liberated 9 settlements, 3 more - completely cleared of the enemy

It also became known yesterday about the establishment of control over the settlement of Berezovoye in Dnipropetrovsk region.
