Workers Are Disappearing In Belarus

Statistics point to an exodus of laborers.

In January 2026, the number of dismissed workers in Belarus exceeded the number of hired ones by 1.8% ("44.320" vs. "43.537"), according to the analysis of the National Statistics Committee data conducted by "Pozirkam".

In annual terms, the number of those who got a new job increased by 1.6% (from 42,852 in January 2025 to 43,537 in the same month of 2026).

According to the State Employment Service at 11:00 on March 3, 155,262 vacancies are offered on the labor market (159,303 on February 2; -2.5%).
