Chaly: Lukashenko Was Under The Bed

The dictator is afraid of events in Iran.

Analyst Sergei Chaly on air Belsat spoke about the dictator's fears related to the US operation against the ayatollah regime in Iran:

- I believe that the most important thing that is happening now is Lukashenko under the bed. I mean, he's a cowardly man. Anything that makes him afraid, to me, is a good thing. The American press wrote, citing some high-ranking sources in the entourage of Iranian officials, that Ali Khamenei has prepared successors. Remember when Lukashenko once passed the "dead hand decree"? What would happen in case he goes missing, they put him in the basement or something. And, accordingly, what should be the procedure, if not for succession, then at least for emergency management of the country.

And now Khamenei has really done so. He personally identified four successors for each member of the cabinet and military leadership appointed by him in case they were eliminated, and for himself, as they say, three, but secret, unnamed, so that they would not be eliminated either. And now we have the opportunity to observe in real time how well this kind of "dead hand decree" really works.

An experiment is taking place in real time, because in such closed regimes we do not know exactly how they work. Whether it's really personalist, or whether it's really corporatist, and whether there are some factions there between which you have to balance interests.
