Israeli TV channel N12 on social network X reported that the new interim head of Iran's Defense Ministry Majid ibn al-Reza is believed to have been killed. The Iranian side has not yet confirmed this information.
Majid ibn al-Reza became the acting head of the Iranian military after the death of his predecessor Aziz Nasirzadeh. The former Iranian defense minister was killed in the early days of the conflict with U.S. and Israeli strikes.
The decree appointing Majid ibn al-Reza as defense minister was signed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on March 2. According to Iranian laws, he was to serve until the nomination was approved by parliament.
Reminder, the US and Israel began attacking Iran on February 28. Tehran retaliated with strikes in several Persian Gulf countries - targeting important points of the US army, but hitting civilian objects as well.
