Lithuanian President Told How He Got Injured And Ended Up In Hospital
Gitanas Nauseda

Nauseda commented on the incident with humor.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has given details about the hand injury he received that landed him in the hospital.

The Lithuanian president's statement is cited by Delfi.

According to Nauseda, he not only injured his hand, but also shattered his eyebrow.

"I managed to fall on a flat place, in the living room, I slipped: I fell, hit my head on hard furniture, my hand tried to soften the blow and caught on a sharp object, so I tore the soft tissues of my hand. There was nerve damage, not torn, but seriously damaged," he said.

Nauseda added that it will take time for the hand to heal "because the nerve damage makes the fingers go numb, especially the middle one."

"But I think it's for the best, perhaps it will protect me from showing obscene gestures," the president joked.

February 23, it was reported that Naouseda underwent forearm surgery after he injured himself at home.
