The Pskov City Court sentenced the deputy chairman of the Russian Yabloko party, Lev Shlosberg, to 11 years and one month in prison.
On Monday, August 17, Judge Viktoria Malyamova found the politician guilty of repeatedly “discrediting” the Russian Armed Forces and spreading “fake news” about a full-scale war by Russia against Ukraine.
The ruling by the Pskov City Court will be appealed, according to a statement from Yabloko’s press service on Telegram.
The court in Pskov has been hearing Shlosberg’s case since June 22.
