Let’s catch up and outdo Zimbabwe: Br 8,000 per dollar

The exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble in cash to dollar has passed another psychological milestone.

The daily growth of dollar exchange rate at the website prokopovi.ch continues. As of Thursday, the growth of the US currency exchange selling rate reached Br 8,095. The buying rate is up to Br 7,814.

The arithmetic average is 7,955. It is 59% higher than the official exchange rate of the National bank, halted at Br 5,017.

Exchange rates in Lithuanian banks are even higher: one can buy a dollar for Belarusian rubles at Br 8,350, and receive Br 7,100 when selling one. Meanwhile, the exchange rate of one Euro at prokopovi.ch is already Br 11,500.
