Ukraine to ban entry for Russian artists who play concerts for terrorists

The Russian artists who will participate in a concert in Donetsk on November 16 will be banned from entering Ukraine.

The statement was made by the Security Service of Ukraine, Korrespondent writes.

“A big concert involving Russian singers – Yuri Loza, Vaenga, Ivanushki International – is scheduled in Donetsk for November 16. We'd like to warn the so called artists that it will be their last concert in our country,” Markiyan Lybkivsky, an aide to the SSU chief, said Wednesday in Shuster Live talk show.

“If they come to Donetsk and, in fact, support terrorists, we will shut them access to other European countries. They will have to play concerts only in Russian garrisons,” he said, adding that it was a “principled position”.

Ukraine prepared a list of 38 “non grata” representatives of the Russian media.

“We call on Russian artists not to interfere with the conflict instigated by Russia in Ukraine and to refrain from supporting terrorists in the territory of Ukraine,” Lubkivsky said.

On October 26, the Security Service of Ukraine banned entry to the country for Russian actor and scriptwriter Ivan Okhlobystin, who is known for his anti-Ukrainian remarks.
