Homel oppositionist Maria Tulzhankova doesn’t agree she must pay a fine for distributing of leaflets and addressed a complaint to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The Tsentralny district court of Homel fined the oppositionist of 350,000 rubles for distributing of leaflets about celebration of the Freedom Day.

“I sent an appeal to the Supreme Court, but it was dismissed. In my view, I should do something when my rights are violated. In this case, my right for distributing information was violated. That is why I decided to seek for justice in Geneva,” Maria Tulzhankova told in an interview to Radio Svaboda.
