7

Yesterday, the activist of Salihorsk “Young Front” received a summons to appear in the military enlistment office at his residence. Ivan Shyla was said a decision medical unfitness taken in November was cancelled, he must be drafted to army within some days and he had been put on the list of persons restricted to leave Belarus for that time.

“I received a summons, that says only I am restricted to leave Belarus in view of drafting. I went to the military enlistment office, only in the last cabinet I was said I must have a medical examination on Friday and would be sent to army,” Ivan Shyla told to radio Racyja.

It should be reminded that it is not the first case when youth democratic activists are decisions of deferment are called off. So, last year in January, Zmitser Zhaleznichenka, activist of “The Youth of the BPF”, expelled from university, was drafted in Homel. The same happened to head of this organization Ales Kalita in Minsk in April. Franak Vyachorka, son of depouty chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front Vintsuk Vyachorka, is under threat of call-up, too.
