Brother of arrested in Minsk lawyer Emanuel Zeltser sent a letter to Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Mark Zeltser complains in his letter at actions of KGB investigators, trying the case of his brother Emanuel.
According to Mark Zeltser, his brother was “severely beaten in order to coerce him to make a series of phone calls to Joseph Kay for the purpose of luring Kay to Minsk.”
Informing Alyaksandr Lukashenka about this, Mark Zeltser refers to the data of the US Department of State, conformation of telephone companies and recorded telephone conversations. The brother of the arrested lawyer says a team of investigators, heading by investigator Vorabyou, visited London and allegedly interrogated Boris Berezovsky. According to Mark Zeltser, the investigator has allegedly colluded with the Russian oligarch in exile and even performs his orders. The brother of the arrested lawyer says he is very sick and asks to release him “on humanitarian grounds.” Radio Svaboda reports it.
It is known that Emanuel Zeltser arrived in Minsk by Boris Berezovsky’s private plane. Mark Zeltser thinks the Russian oligarch is fighting for Badri Patarkatsishvili’s estate, using unlawful methods.
It has recently become known that besides the case on fake documents, Emanuel Zeltser in involved in a case on drugs, which he allegedly “smuggled in the country.”
“This accusation hasn’t been presented to Emanuel Zeltser yet, the check is in progress,” KGB spokesman Valer Nadtachaeu said.
Here is how the Mark Zeltser, brother of the arrested lawyer, comments on the case:
I state that this, as other things, is fabricated. Completely fabricated. He has been denied the necessary medicines for three months. Doctors say dozens of millions of people all over the world take these medications. And here these medicines are regarded as narcotics. But he didn’t know they contain narcotic substances, the doctor didn’t say him.
According to the information, Emanuel Zeltser suffers from diabetes, gout and other diseases, causing insufferable pain. To remove the pain, he was ordered medicines, containing a small quantity of codeine. However, the medical commission examined Emanuel Zeltser in the KGB jail and allegedly found him be “in the state suitable for being in custody.” KGB spokesman Valer Nadtachaeu reminded the results of the examination.
Lawyer Zmitser Harachka visits Emanuel Zeltser in the jail every day. The lawyer doesn’t comment on the case on forged documents, because it is a “state secret.”
The KGB says the question if Emanuel Zeltser will be presented an accusation of drugs smuggling “must be decided within the week.”
In the meantime the court in Tbilisi ruled that Kay is the legitimate executor of the estate of Georgian oligarch Badri Patarkatsishvili, who died in London. According to observers, it means the claims to Joseph Kay’s lawyer Emanuel Zeltser on forged documents have no grounds.
