Alyaksandr Milinkevich, leader of the “For Freedom” movement totally disagrees with the critics.
Alyaksandr Kazulin and Anatol Lyabedzka told PAP (Polska Agencja Prasowa) about their disappointment, Polskie Radio reports.
“Poland and Germany have a common position, they are generators of a new EU’s policy towards Belarus,” Alyaksandr Kazulin said.
He said he heard a Polish MP saying Poland had put forward a condition to the Belarusian regime: invitation of Lukashenka to Prague will depend on whether a congress of the Union of Poles heading by Anzhalika Borys will be held without problems.
“This position was a surprise for us. Does it mean that we can bargain? It’s not normal,” Kazulin said.
Anatol Lyabedzka didn’t hide his strong feelings, too.
“We need European values while Lukashenka needs European finance. The question is what Europe will back. Europe will have to choose between Lukashenka and pro-European Belarusians,” Lyabedzka told.
Leader of the “For Freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich movement totally disagrees with critics of Poland.
“I think we do not have the right to say that we are disregarded. The European Union cooperates with the authorities to change the situation in Belarus. We need to go to people. But some politicians have forgotten about this part of their work. What concerns their statements, I am indignant!” he said.
Head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski gave a quick response to the statements of the Belarusian oppositionists. “There is no abnormal bargaining in Belarusian affairs,” Sikorski assured.
