Participants of rally of solidarity with political prisoners arrested in Minsk

Two participants of the civil campaign “European Belarus” were detained on Thursday in the capital of Belarus.

Maksim Syarheets and Ryhor K. were detained when they unfurled the streamer “Freedom to political prisoners” in Prytytski Street. They were detained by a police patrol that was going by. The young people were taken to the police department of Frunzenski district of Minsk. They were fingerprinted there, and administrative reports were drawn up against them “for violations in residential places’ living environment”. Besides, policemen seized the streamer. In three hours the young people were released.

The session of the administrative commission which is to consider the reports against the young democrats is to take place on June 3 in the building of the administration of Frunzenski district of Minsk.
