After visits to Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez arrived in Iran.
Chavez and Ahmadinejad called one another brothers at their meeting in Tehran and said nobody was able to hinder them from developing and strengthening the relations of the two countries. Ahmadinejad said the two countries would build a new word order without dominance of the US. Chavez in turn condemned international sanctions and “military threats” to Iran, NEWSru.com informs.
Hugo Chavez visited Moscow a few days before arriving in Iran and held there meetings with President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. He signed an agreement on construction of a nuclear power plant in Venezuela and a contract on delivering 35 tanks to the Latin American country.
Later in Kyiv, Chavez confirmed his country bought S-300 missile systems from Russia, which Moscow had earlier refused to sell to Tehran.
The Venezuelan leaders saw his Belarusian colleague Alyaksandr Lukashenka between the visits to Moscow and Kyiv. Both expressed their readiness in fighting against the world imperialism and capitalism.
