Seva Novgorodsev: “The future is in your hands!” (Video)

Famous journalist Seva Novgorodsev addressed the Belarusians as part of the global solidarity campaign.

Seva Novgorodsev is a well-known radio presenter on the BBC Russian Service, creator of a BBC musical programme later titled Rock-Posevy (Rock the Seva Way) and the chat shows Sevaoborot and BBSeva.

Seva Novgorodsev left the Soviet Union in 1975. He lived in Austria and Italy. Lives in London since 1977. Seva Novgorodsev’s first short wave programme on BBC Russian Service was Pop Music Programme from London, which later was renamed as Rock-Posevy in January 1991. The programme ran for 24 years till June 12, 2004. It is due to this programme that made Novgorodsev an iconic figure in the Soviet Union.

On April 27, 2005, Queen Elizabeth II awarded Seva Novgorodsev with the Order of the British Empire.

Seva Novgorodzev wrote the books Rock-Posevy, Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n' Roll, and People- Handle with Care.
