Search in “Narodnaya Volya” editor’s office (Photo)

A computer and materials of journalist Maryna Koktysh have been seized from editor’s office of the independent newspaper “Narodnaya Volya”.

As charter97.org learnt from the Belarusian Association of Journalists, a sanction for seizure of materials was issued by the prosecutor of Homel. The matter relates to materials of the so called “hunters’ case” , which involves Homel militiamen and some officials. They are accused of unlawful construction of hunting grounds.

The search took one hour. The staff were made to turn off cell phones. a system unit from Maryna Koktysh’s computer was seized.
