“The actions by the Belarusian authorities towards Belsat TV channel are another attempt to impede journalistic activity and discredit independent journalists,” Belsat director Agnieszka Romaszewska said.

“The secret services have recently stepped up pressure on the Belsat journalists. We keep an eye on the situation around our colleague journalist Ivan Shulha, detained by the militia. We’ll apply our best efforts to release him. We assure our audience that pressure by the authorities won’t influence our journalistic position. We continue provide people of Belarus with true information,” the Belsat press service quotes Agnieszka Romaszewska.

Accoriding to Radio Svaboda, location of Ivan Shulha, a member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists detained on February 3, is unknown.
