Bordyuzha: CSTO forces won't solve internal problems of Kyrgyzstan

6

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) does not plan to send peacekeepers to Kyrgyzstan to resolve the situation.

As informed by "Interfax", the CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha stated that.

"The position of the Collective Security Council is that the event in Kyrgyzstan is a domestic concern of Kyrgyzstan and that the organization cannot use any force or potential to solve the internal political problems in Kyrgyzstan," he said at a press-conference in Moscow.

"The authorities of Kyrgyzstan have to resolve the situation in the country," he added.

It should be noted that earlier mass media published reports that Alyaksandr Lukashenka asked the CSTO on behalf of Bakiyev to send troops to Kyrgyzstan.
