7- 7.05.2010, 13:57
The mother of a poliotical prisioner Mikalai Autukhovich learnt about the verdict to her son from journalists.
As informed by Radio Svaboda, Lidziya Autukhovich could not attend the session of the court. As said by her, her heart could simply fail in the court room.
- I know that this verdict is also too much for him, as he is innocent, - Lidziya Autukhovich said. - I would like him to be released, he had come through so many hardships: he was on hunger strike for so long, they humiliated him, he suffered so much. No one supported him there, they were just wating for him to die, but God has saved him from death, as he is innocent. He was born on Christmas, everything was given to him by God. He had never hurt a man, he helped everybody, he never denied help when anyone addressed him, and he was tortured so much for that... Poor him, he has come through so many things, he has lost his health. But we are all in God's hands. And thank God he is alive and well.
- And how do you feel, how is your state?
(She cries)
- How am I? I cry every day, I have endured so much, I have had many sufferings, I had many sleepless nights. There was not a minute for me without tears. I cry as he is tortured for nothing, he is suffering fo rnothing, and his enemies are waiting for his death only. Only God has helped him to pass through this ordeal for him.
