Lyubou Kavalyova: “Why?”

The mother of Uladzislau Kavalyou, who is sentenced to death, cannot refrain from tears after the report that Lukashenka decided against the pardon of her son, and does believe that.

On March 14 the Belarus-1 TV Channel reported that Alyaksandr Lukashenka refused to pardon Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavalyou.

“Why?! Could it be the truth? How could such a decision be adopted, while the supervisory appeal has not been filed yet?” Lyubou Kavalyova said.

Uladzislau Kavalyou’s mother said that on March 14 a lawyer Stanislau Abrazej was to meet with her son in the KGB remand prison, but after he spent half a day there, he could not visit the convict, as he was not allowed to. Kavalyouva does not know whether he was able to do so in the afternoon, as she cannot reach the lawyer on the phone, BelaPAN informs.
