MMM head office in Minsk stormed (Video)

(Updated) Special police task force has taken by storm the head office of MMM financial pyramid company in Minsk.
As a reader of charter97.org has informed, SWAT in masks on their faces burst into MMM central office (Independence Avenue, 58, 3rd floor) on March 16 at 3.30 p.m. In order to penetrate the office, KGB officers had to smash down the armoured door.

The KGB of Belarus (The Committee for State Security) has detected and stopped illegal activities of the Belarusian branch of the new financial pyramid of Sergei Mavrodi, “MMM-2011”, BelTA was informed by the Information and PR Centre of the Belarusian KGB.
As a result of special investigation activities, a group of persons was found to be involved in carrying out unlawful financial operations and obtaining funds of Belarusian citizens by the means of deception. In particular, MMM made financial transactions without registration in tax and local executive bodies. Payment of interest on deposits and return on investment of funds, given the agreed remuneration (winning) were carried out by team members at the expense of attracting new investments (bets) of citizens, who were deliberately misinformed about the legality and feasibility of committing such operations.
As a result of illegal activities of “MMM-2011” several thousands of Belarusian citizens became enmeshed in financial fraud, and the abovementioned group of persons earned income on an especially large scale, more than Br 500 million, KGB specified.
The KGB detained the staff, seized financial accounts of the organization, as well as computers and office equipment. At present the Belarusian security forces in conjunction with law enforcement and intelligence agencies of the CIS are analyzing the criminal financial schemes used by the organizers of the financial pyramid.
The KGB (Committee for State Security) warns citizens of the republic, that the financial scheme, implemented by “MMM-2011,” are aimed at the unlawful seizure of the funds of Belarusian citizens, including the use of new technologies in the fields of information and psychology.
