Dwellers of Minsk's Uruchcha district protesting against compact planning wrote a letter on asphalt to Lukashenka.
Onliner.by continues to watch the developments on construction site on Russiyanov Street, where a 19-storey block of flats is being constructed. Representatives of the initiative group managed to meet Uladzimir Makei, the head of Lukashenka Administration, last week. He promised a thorough inspection over compact planning in Uruchcha district. However, construction workers began active work not waiting for the results of the inspection. Dwellers are not going to put up with the situation.
“The fence is broken again. Someone punctured wheels of excavators at night,” Illya, a representative of the initiative group, says. “Workers pumped them in the morning. An appeal to Lukashenka asking to stop outrage of Minsk authorities appeared on asphalt. A man, who introduced himself as a representative of the Minsk city executive committee, arrived and forbade to film him. He was discussing on the phone how to remove this message on asphalt. You know, people are on a verge of a nervous breakdown. Mothers with baby carriages have to squeeze their way through construction equipment.”
