Presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov and his election agent Zmitser Bandarenka met with the Ambassador of Sweden to Belarus, Stefan Eriksson.
He was the first among the EU ambassadors to return to Minsk after almost two months of consultations, Radio Racja reports.
According to Bandarenka, the meeting took place at the Embassy of Poland:
“We were at the embassy on occasion of departure of a Polish diplomat. Stefan Eriksson was there too. We had a small talk. I'd like to say the following: If arrival of European ambassadors contributes to the release of my imprisoned friends, who are still behind bars, it will be good. But it's bad if it does not help.”
Zmitser Bandarenka shared his opinion with the Ambassador of Sweden to Belarus, Stefan Eriksson.
At least 13 political prisoners remain in Belarusian prisons, Belarusian human rights activists say.
