Mikalai Autukhovich: I will withstand all the challenges

The political prisoner asks not to forget about his mother, who needs support.

Mikalai Autukhovich was allowed to see his mother and sister. He wrote about this in the letter to a civil activist Tatsiana Kim. She quoted a part of the letter, dedicated to his mother, to “Radio Svaboda”:

“Mother looked good on the date, but I know how difficult it is for her. I tried to calm her down, to persuade her to take everything calmly”. But I receive letters from her and see that she couldn’t withstand some difficulties and is really confused. Please, could you call her sometimes, support her? Then it will be easier for her. And I will withstand all the challenges to the end in any case”.

Mikalai Autukhovich, the entrepreneur from Volkovysk, is sentenced to 5 years and 2 months on charges of illegal handling of weapons.  He didn’t admit his guilt and declared that he is being persecuted for anti-corruption activity. Mikalai Autukhovich is in prison since February 2009. Now, as a “malicious violator regime”, he is being held in the Grodno prison.
