Lukashenka threatens Polish observers

The dictator attacked the Polish for criticizing his elections.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka said that “all the conditions for free and democratic parliamentary elections are created” in the country, he is counting on the best when it comes to the West’s assessment of the elections.

“I should always count on the best, we reckon on the best, but we’ll see how it turns out”, - Lukashenka told the journalists on Sunday when voting at one of the polling stations in Minsk, Interfax reports.

Lukashenka highlighted that the “elections are held not for the West, the elections are in Belarus and their main author is the people of Belarus”. “As the people mark it in the polling booths, so shall it be”, - the Belarusian dictator said.

The ruler said that he was not involved in the electoral campaign because of him being busy. “But if this time again someone doubts our elections, then I don’t know how they should be organized”, - he highlighted.  “I think there’s nothing to pick on so far about our electoral process”, - Lukashenka added.

The Belarusian dictator said that other countries “should envy” the way elections are held in Belarus. “In the countries where elections go peacefully there is happiness. We don’t need revolutions, explosions, fights, clashes”, - Lukashenka said.

He urged the journalists not to be fast with their assessments of peaceful flow of the elections in Belarus. “The main show starts after elections, when awkwardness of different kinds happens after voting”, - Lukashenka said.

According to him the elections and the voting go peacefully. “And then they will count the votes, someone will be disappointed, will burst in tears and a show will start”, - he pointed out.

Commenting on some international observers’ statements, particularly the Polish ones, regarding the undemocratic character of the Belarusian elections, he noted: “Tell your Polish observers to learn from us how to hold elections and do at Rome as the Romans do”. “We will figure out without any Polish politicians’ help how to build our own life”, - Lukashenka said.
