US sanctions may be applied to MWTP?

Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant cooperates with Design Bureau Radar, which fell under the sanctions.

The fact of the cooperation was confirmed to Euroradio by an enterprise’s representative Aliaksandr Huk.

We would remind that the The United States Department of State has the other day reported about new sanctions against Belarusian enterprises. These are the companies TM Servisis and Design Bureau Radar and their affiliates.

Design Bureau Radar is the holding’s leading company. Alevkurp and Volat are also the parts of the holding.

Volat is the brand name of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. It is not directly related to Design Bureau Radar, which is under the sanctions. However, the representative of Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant does not deny the cooperation with that enterprise.

“We do cooperate, but this is purely commercial cooperation, we never were a part of their holding”, - Aliaksandr Huk said.

The imposed sanctions mean that the US’ government is forbidden to conclude contracts with the aim of purchasing goods, services and technologies from the legal and natural persons, included in the “black list”, or provide assistance to them. Apart from that these persons and companies can no longer buy arms and military equipment from the USA, services for their maintenance and other goods, the exports sales of which are regulated by the American rules of export control.
