Police impeded the action of Young Christian Democrats of handing out the Constitution books on 15 March in Mahilou.

The activists were going to hand out the issues of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus with a photograph of Aliaksandr Lukashneka glued inside, who swore to the Constitution in 1994 under the white-red-white flag, BChD press-service reports.

“In the morning today we were going to start the even devoted to another anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. We were going to hand out the Constitution to passersby near the Belarusian-Russian University. However we were approached by policemen who asked what we were doing and if we were going to disturb public order”, - one of the YChD activists says.

The policemen watched the guys for about half an hour and left only when the activists refused from holding the action.

In the meanwhile an action of handing out the Constitution still took place. Activists managed to hold it a day before – on 14th March near Mahilou region’s diagnostic center.
