Another official accused of giving false data in reports

A member of a local council and director of a farm enterprise in the Minsk region overestimated the live weight on his farm by more than 170 tonnes to reach the necessary rate of gain.

The Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee initiated a criminal case against a member of the council of Starya Darohi district and director of Shchytkavichy farm. He is charged with violating part 2 of article 427 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (forgery by an official in statistical reports), Yezhednevnik informs.

According to the financial police, the suspect ordered his subordinates on numerous occasions to put wrong figures in the state statistical reports on cattle's weight gain in 2009-2012 to avoid disciplinary sanctions and the dismissal for poor performance. It resulted in overstatements in the state statistical reports on the gross gain of cattle by a total of 170 tonnes.

The State Control Committee revealed misstatements in November 2012, when found errors in the young stock feeding scheme were found. According to auditors, more than 90 tonnes of milk were fed to calves above the required amount.

The inspection weighted cows in 2010 and figured out that the total weight of heifers was overestimated by 112.5 tonnes (an average of 203 kg per head) and the total weight was springer heifers was overestimated by 46.9 tonnes (an average of 217 kg per head). The weighting of cow on feed showed that the total weight was overestimated by 10.6 tonnes (244 kg per head). More than 170 tonnes of cattle appeared to exist only in documents.

It took five months to decide to initiate a criminal case against the local council member and director of Shchytkavichy farm enterprise. The case was sent to the Investigation Committee's district department in Starya Darohi for a preliminary investigation.

It should be reminded that a criminal case for giving false information in reports was initiated on February 3 against a former director of Pravda poultry farm and member of the Harani rural council in the Minsk district.
