Political prisoner Alienievich’s book “Going to Magadan” came out

The book by a political prisoner Ihar Alienievich was published based on the diary, written in KGB’s pre-trial jail, Amerikanka.

Ihar wrote his diary in the Amerikanka – the pre-trial jail of Minsk’s KGB, the web-site anarcho-news.com reports.

His cellmates were investigators, businessmen, parliament candidates, participants of protest actions after the 2010 presidential elections and many others, who ended up in prison because of police lawlessness, fight between law enforcing agencies and Lukashenka’s coming to power.

The book was published by the publishing house Radical Theory and Practice. Not only the diary, but also the articles of the political prisoner Ihar Alienievich were included in the book, in which he discusses the position of modern Belarus, the judiciary, political prisoners and the anarchist movement.

We would remind that on 27 May 2011 a judge of Minsk’s Zavadski district Zhana Khajnitskaja sentenced Ihar Alienievich to 8 years in high security prison. He is now serving the punishment term in the penal colony number 10 in Navapolatsk. He was accused together with Mikalaj Dziadok and Aliaksandr Frantskevich of organizing a procession near the Defense Ministry building, alleged attack on Shangri La casino and the detention center in Akrestsina street, and also the arson of Belarusbank branch office’s doors.
