Political prisoner Lobau allowed to meet mother

The mother of Eduard Lobau, who is serving a prison term in apenal colony in Ivatsevichy, is going for a long-term three-day meeting.

Maryna Lobava told about that to Radio Svaboda. She noted that the head of the colony forbad her to give a food parcel to her son during the meeting.

“After a long-term meeting they usually allow passing 30 additional kilograms of food. But we were not allowed. It was like “we had not deserved”. They used to all the time cut the volume before – to 10 or 15 kilograms. But this time – zero! When Edzik called he told not to prepare food to take with me, they did not allow anything at all. I am now making a list of what delicious to bring him. I decided to bring ice-cream in a thermic bag this time”, - she said.

We would remind that a Young Front activist Eduard Lobau was sentenced to four year imprisonment on the accusation of hooliganism. He is serving the term in a penal colony in Ivatsevichy. He and the leader of Young Front Zmicer Dashkievich were accused of allegedly beating passersby in Minsk. This happened a day before the presidential elections. In the court the “victims” testified with their faces hidden from the public. Lobau and Dashkievich claimed that the fight had been provoked by special services.
