Prosecutors ignore requests regarding Baumgertner

Minsk has not responded to a request of the Russian Embassy on changing pretrial restrictions for Uralkali CEO.

The Embassy of Russia in Minsk has not received an answer from a prosecutor's office to a request on changing pretrial restrictions for Uralkali CEO Vladisloav Baumgertner.

RIA Novosti learnt it from Vladimir Marchukov, a representative of the embassy.

“The embassy has not received an answer from a prosecutor's office,” he said.

The deadline for the reply expired on Saturday.

Marchukov said Baumgertner had not applied for an additional meeting with the embassy's consular officers. He reminded that only one such visit was allowed.

“Mr Baumgertner meets with attorneys at his discretion when he needs it,” Marchukov said.

He also informs that the Russian embassy hasn't taken additional measures to change pretrial restrictions for Baumgertner.
